.I am contracted as the Onboarding/Data Entry Specialist to lead new hires through the Onboarding process. I coordinate the tasks/documents needed to start a new position, distribute communication to Leadership Teams about the new hire groups and establish access in the various company systems. I thoroughly enjoy organizing the information and creating streamlined workflows to allow for a smooth set-up of new hires. A big perk has been the ability to work from home!

How has your current role impacted your career path in the long term?

It has encouraged and provided confidence that it is possible to return to the mainstream workforce after an extended break to run my own small e-commerce business.

Have you picked up any new skills in your role?

I have learned a slew of new programs and how to navigate different agencies/departments. I have a better understanding of the Behavioral Health industry as well as the HR/HP role within an organization.

Are you from the Pacific NW?

Yes. I was born and raised in Oregon and have lived in Washington state for 27 years.

What are the benefits of working for a staffing company like PACE in your opinion?

While this is my first experience working for a staffing company, I feel like one can gain skills and experiences in a variety of companies and environments. Working for PACE has been a positive and encouraging experience. Communications have been clear and it has been easy to reach someone whenever I have an inquiry. While I have had limited contact with my PACE recruiter after I started the assignment, I feel comfortable that he would be available, if needed.

What do you enjoy spending your time doing outside of work?

I love reading, crafting, sewing, writing, and spending time with friends and family. My Engineering husband and I live in rural SE Auburn on a peaceful 5 acres with fabulous views of the lower Cascade foothills. We enjoy gardening, hiking, traveling, creating, and working on our property.
