Samson has worked for PACE since May 2023, first starting as an Administrative Assistant and within a month was promoted to an Inspector for a local housing authority. Samson’s manager says that “he is in his element” and is now being considered for a conversion to being a permanent employee!

Tell us in a couple sentences about your role and what you enjoy most about it!

My role at the housing authority has changed rapidly in a short period of time, luckily I am very flexible with everything I do. My current role is Housing Inspector for them which I have enjoyed a lot because of how I get to enjoy the outdoors while also balancing the office work.

How has your current role impacted your career path in the long term?

My current role has impacted my career because I am trying something new outside of my career path that I hadn’t thought of in my head. It’s helping me develop new skills for myself and my future.

Have you picked up any new skills in your role?

I learned a lot of new skills such as being a housing inspector; people skills and housing skills.

Are you from the Pacific NW?

Yes, I was born and raised in the Pacific NW.

What are the benefits of working for a staffing company like PACE in your opinion?

They actually care and will always check to see if you’re doing okay with your current position. My recruiter has always kept in touch with me and always checking on me to make sure I’m doing okay which I appreciate PACE for.

What do you enjoy spending your time doing outside of work?

What I enjoy doing outside of work is hanging out with friends.
